On August 4 2025, the academic symposium “Economic and Social Development in an Era of Ultra-Low Birth Rates and Ageing Populations” was convened at SASS. The symposium brought together 22 experts and scholars from Japan and South Korea, as well as more than 40 specialists from across China to engage in in-depth discussions.
Three parallel forums were held: The Welfare Community in an Era of Ultra-Low Birth Rates and Ageing: Cultural-Financial Support and Innovation in Integrated Community Care, Regional Industrial Revitalization and Development Resilience: Stimulating Regional Economic Vitality in an Era of Ultra-Low Birth Rates and Ageing, and East Asian Cultures and Their Exchange.
