On March 5th, Professor Yao Jianlong, Deputy Secretary of SASS CPC Committee and Director of Institute of Law, met with Mr. Hemn Hawrami, Member of KDP Politburo and Head of the KDP's Organizational Bureau. The meeting focused on the current international landscape, regional hotspots and other key topics.
Professor Yao warmly welcomed Mr. Hawrami and his delegation, providing an overview of SASS’s development. He acknowledged the significant achievements that both the CPC and the KDP have made in advancing their countries and enhancing their people’s well-being. Professor Yao highlighted the importance of Mr. Hawrami's visit in fostering discussions on global affairs and the Middle Eastern issues, expressing hope that this exchange would strengthen bilateral think tank cooperation and further promote China-Iraq relations, as well as party-to-party ties.
Mr. Hawrami shared insights into the current situation in the Middle East and praised China’s “Three Initiatives”, namely the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative, as profound reflections of China's wisdom. He expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with SASS and support broader collaboration between China and Iraq across various levels.
