On 25th February, Professor Yao Jianlong, Deputy Secretary of SASS CPC Committee and Director of Institute of Law, met with Mr. Vladislav Spasov, Consul General of Bulgaria in Shanghai.
Professor Yao welcomed the Consul General's visit and introduced the latest developments in academic discipline building, think tank construction and talent cultivation at SASS. He highlighted Bulgaria’s rich history and culture, noting the shared historical experience between China and Bulgaria and the vast potential for academic and cultural cooperation. Professor Yao expressed SASS’s willingness to further collaborate with Bulgarian universities and think tanks on topics of mutual interest, contributing to the growth of China-Bulgaria relations.
Mr. Spasov emphasized Bulgaria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with China, particularly in education and culture. He introduced the Institute for the State and the Law (ISL) and the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IPS-BAS), expressing their interest in working with SASS. Mr. Spasov also affirmed the Consulate’s readiness to support deeper institutional exchanges between BAS and SASS.
Professor Jiang Youfu, Director of the Institute of Chinese Marxism, engaged with the guests on topics such as socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, Chinese path to modernization, and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind.
