On June 21st, Nikhil Seth, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director at United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), visited SASS. President of SASS Wang Dezhong met with the visiting delegation and engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation between their respective institutions. President Wang expressed the academy's commitment to enhancing collaboration and exchanges with UN agencies, emphasizing the need to expand cooperation areas and deepen institutional mechanisms, particularly in fields such as technological innovation, information research, educational development, and international training.
Mr.Seth expressed UNITAR's readiness to further enhance exchanges and cooperation with the academy, proposing policy recommendations through think tank research to collectively address risks and challenges faced by global society in economic, social, and environmental aspects.
