On May 7th, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, visited the Institute of International Relations SASS. Institute Director Wang Jian met with General Hayat and chaired the discussion. During the meeting, General Hayat shared insights on the evolving security situation in South Asia, India's national security concepts, counter-terrorism in South Asia, and the development of China-Pakistan relations.
