On December 1, a delegation led by Michael Keating, Executive Director of European Institute of Peace (EIP), visited SASS. Quan Heng, Secretary of the CPC SASS Committee, met with the European guests. The two sides had friendly exchanges on China-EU relations, China-U.S. relations, inter-agency communication and cooperation.
In addition, the two sides exchanged views on objectives, characteristics and path of Chinese modernization, the significance of the summit meeting between Chinese and U.S. Presidents in San Francisco, and the impact of China-U.S. relations on China-EU economy.
The participants also included Patrick de Vries, Matt Waldman, Senior Advisors of EIP, Mariyan Zumbulev, Senior Programme Manager of EIP, Zhan Yubo, Professor of SASS Institute of Economic, Wang Ying, Professor of SASS Institute of World Economy, Ke Jing, Associate Professor of SASS Institute of International Relations, and Professor Cheng Fucai, Director of SASS Office of International Cooperation.
