On September 7, SASS hosted the 2023 Forum of Presidents of Academies of Social Sciences from Six Provinces and A Municipality in the East China. Quan Heng, Secretary of the CPC SASS Committee, delivered a welcome speech. Yuan Hongying, Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Wang Siqing, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhejiang Academy of Social Sciences, and Guo Wanda, Executive Vice President of China Development Institute delivered keynote speeches. The opening ceremony was moderated by Wang Dezhong, President of SASS.
As a high-profile academic conference held by the academies of social sciences in East China every year, the Forum has been held for more than 20 years. In 2024, the Forum will be hosted by Fujian Academy of Social Sciences.
