On May 24, 2023, Ravit Baer, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, visited SASS. Quan Heng, Secretary of the CPC SASS Committee, met with the guests. The two sides discussed about the issues including China’s economic development, China-Israeli people-to-people exchanges, and SASS’ academic cooperation with Israel.
Ravit Baer and the delegation also visited the SASS Center for Jewish Studies and exchanged views with scholars from the SASS Institute of International Relations on issues of common interests.
The participating guests also included Hui Wenqi, Officer in charge of Culture and Education at the Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai, Pan Guang, Director of the Center for Jewish Studies Shanghai (CJSS), Cheng Fucai, Director of the SASS Office of International Cooperation, and Wang Zhen, Professor of the SASS Institute of International Relations.
