In celebration of the 54th World Earth Day on April 22, the Award Ceremony of the First Little Pioneers for Zero Carbon Competition was held in Shanghai. 32 “Little Pioneers for Zero Carbon” from all over the country were awarded certificates, while 15 enthusiastic participants were awarded “Charity Ambassadors for Zero Carbon”. The awarding ceremony was jointly hosted by SASS Center for Green Digital Collaborative Development, Shanghai Education Center of Science and Art, Shanghai Center for Energy Saving and Emission on Reduction and Science Communication Center of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and co-organized by Shanghai Cunzhi School Group.
According to related statistics, nearly 10,000 primary and middle school students from Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Henan, Liaoning, Anhui, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions had applied online and participated the online popular science quiz since this event was launched on October 31, 2021. Among them, students from Shanghai were especially passionate. SASS Center for Green Digital Collaborative Development, Shanghai Education Center of Science and Art, Shanghai Center for Energy Saving and Emission on Reduction, Science Communication of Shanghai Science & Technology Museum jointly released the Guidelines for Green and Low-carbon Behaviors of Primary and Middle School Students (Draft). This is the first-ever green and low-carbon behavior guide for primary and middle school students in China.
