SASS and CDL Central Committee Jointly Held 13th CDL Culture Forum

On November 9, 2022, the 13th CDL Culture Forum, co-sponsored by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), the China Democratic League (CDL) Central Committee, and the CDL Shanghai Committee, was held in the small auditorium in SASS with the theme of “Build on Past Achievements and Carry Forward—Uphold Fundamental Principles and Break New Ground”. Chen Qun, Vice Chairman of CDL Central Committee, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and Chairman of CDL Shanghai Committee, Quan Heng, Secretary of the CPC SASS Committee, Yao Zhuoyun, Vice Chairman of CDL Shanghai Committee, Fei Jian, Secretary-General of CDL Shanghai Committee attended the forum. Ding Guanghong, Vice Chairman of CDL Shanghai Committee presided over the opening ceremony.


Han Hanjun, Chairman of CDL SASS Committee, presided over the keynote speech session of the forum. Professor Li Zhenlin, Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education and Dean of College of Film at Shanghai Theatre Academy, Liu Enping, a contemporary director, playwright and critic, Ma Chi, Research Professor from SASS Thoughts and Culture Research Center, and Qiu Wenping, Associate Research Professor from SASS Institute of Religious Studies made keynote speeches. Wang Tongtong, Vice Director of Key Construction Office at East China Normal University, made comments. The academic exchange session in the afternoon was hosted by Qiu Wenping, President of CDL Shanghai Committee Participatory Party Theory and CDL History Research Council and Vice Chairman of CDL SASS Committee. Chen Xiangqin, Associate Research Professor from SASS Institute of Chinese Marxism Studies delivered a speech during this session. Research Professor Ma Chi made comments.

Representatives of CDL members in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Guizhou, Xining and other provinces and cities participated in the forum via video conferencing. Nearly 50 representatives from CDL Shanghai Committee Participatory Party Theory and CDL History Research Council and primary organizations of CDL Shanghai Committee participated in the forums.
