On July 7th, 2022, webinar “Implementing Digital Transformation Strategies via Multiple Means: Asia’s Experience” was co-hosted by Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and National Academy of Governance. Liu Zhenmin, Deputy Secretary-General of UN DESA, Gong Weibin, Vice President of National Academy of Governance, and Wang Zhen, Vice President of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Director of Institute of Information Sciences, addressed the webinar.

UN DESA and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences have been in a cooperative relationship for over 20 years. The two institutions have delivered much achievements in co-conducting projects, co-publishing works and co-hosting forums, and expect to deepen their cooperation and exchanges by implementing 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Over 100 experts and scholars at home and abroad took part in the webinar. Prof. Zhao Fuchun from Institute of Information Sciences delivered a keynote speech on China’s digital economy.
