On September 22, 2021, Ms. Wendy Dorman-Smith, the Consul General of Ireland in Shanghai, paid a visit to Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). President and Researcher Wang Dezhong met with the delegation, and the two parties exchanged views on China-Ireland academic exchange, cooperation on think tank and education, as well as post-pandemic economic recovery and urban development of Shanghai.
Eoin McDonnell, First Secretary of the Irish Embassy to China, accompanied the visit. Zhu Pingfang, President of the SASS Graduate School, Li Kaisheng, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relation, and Cheng Fucai, Director of the Office of International Cooperation, SASS, attended the meeting.
