

On the morning of December 10, 2017, “The Seventh World Forum on China Studies”, co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government and co-organized by SASS and the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality, was grandly held in Shanghai International Convention Center. Under the theme of “China in a New Era”, this event brought together 400 well-known scholars at home and abroad, including 150 worldwide scholars engaged in China studies and local scholars specializing in various fields and academic disciplines. They launched a brainstorming and gave vent to their own voices.
“World Forum on China Studies” is a high-level, all-round and open-style academic forum, which is held every two years in Shanghai. The successful hosting of this Forum indicates that the worldwide China Studies will attach importance to China’s new era, synchronize with the new course of China’s development, and applaud the new achievements of China’s development. “World Forum on China Studies” has become a large platform for “Going Global” and telling “China Story”.
